Miss Representation

This was my second time watching miss representation and the effect it had on me was the same as the first time. I understand that magazines and such are just for entertainment purposes, and it's fun to see what celebrities are wearing, but they also compare people. Magazines and entertainment news highlights always compare one person to another. "Who wore it best?" and things like this shouldn't be published. We all have our personal opinions, and are these comparisons really the truth? The more "pretty" person would be picked, right? In movies and tv shows, very few leads are women. And the women are always very stereotypical, and kids start looking up to a very stereotypical figure, looking at them as role models. It makes young children think that they have to look and act like them to be "pretty" or to "find love". When they realize that they just need to be themselves, they've already endured mental, emotional, and for some, physical harm. I think it's really important that girls recognize this and live happily. They shouldn't compare themselves to others. Just a live happy and healthy life.
